1. Who we are

SummarAI is an Android app that helps you transcribe WhatsApp voice messages and summarize chats by intercepting notifications.

2. What data we collect

• WhatsApp notifications: we only intercept incoming notifications to display messages and process audio files. We do not access chats directly inside the WhatsApp app.
• Audio files: the app requests permission to access audio files received via notifications to transcribe them.
• Google account data: users sign in with their Google account. We store only the Google UID in Firestore to manage available transcription minutes and usage statistics.
• Usage data: we store statistics about total, daily, weekly, and monthly transcribed minutes.

3. How we use the data

Audio files and chat texts are sent to OpenAI’s APIs exclusively for transcription and summarization. We do not store this content on our servers.

4. Advertising

SummarAI uses Google AdMob for advertising. AdMob may collect anonymous usage data according to its own policies.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Users can purchase additional transcription minutes through monthly subscriptions. Minutes do not roll over from month to month.

6. Data deletion

Users can request deletion of their Google UID and all associated usage statistics at any time by contacting us at "laerte.developer@gmail.com". Data will be deleted within 7 working days.

7. Data security

We protect user data through Firestore and secure connections (HTTPS). We do not share personal data with third parties except where strictly necessary (OpenAI APIs for transcription and summary).
